Apply to Hood River New School

From tours to applications, the admissions process is designed for us to get to know each applicant, and for each applying family to get to know our approach well. We welcome your interest in New School. Upon submission of all application documents, you’ll receive a confirmation email with an expected timeline for acceptance and appropriate next steps. If you have more than one child hoping to attend Hood River New School, please fill out a separate application for each child.

To be considered for acceptance, you must have a complete application submitted by April 27, 2026. Applications will be reviewed after April 27 on a rolling basis as space allows.

Please use the checklist below to ensure that you have completed each step in the application process before April 27, 2026.

• Completed the application: parent/student questionnaire & most recent report card/progress report

• Sent the Teacher Evaluation form to the applicant’s current teacher and ensured that it was submitted to New School. We will email to confirm receipt by the office

• Paid application fee of $50: paid online, mailed to Hood River New School at 220 Clearwater Lane, Hood River, OR 97031, or dropped off at the school office Monday–Friday between 8:30 AM and 3:30 PM.

• Attended Campus Tour on March 16, 2026: register online, or call 541-436-4430

• Student attended a visitation day on April 14, 2026, April 16, 2026, or April 1, 2026, call 541-436-4430 to schedule

• If applicable, applied for Flexible Tuition*

If you prefer a paper copy of the application, you may request one by emailing adminstration@hoodrivernewschool.org. Completed paper materials along with an application fee can be mailed to Hood River New School 220 Clearwater Lane Hood River, OR 97031 or dropped off at the school office from 8:30 - 3:30 Monday - Friday.
